Branka Riđički was born in Zadar, Croatia in 1966. Her most recent exhibitions were held at Alliance Française de Split, Split, Croatia, 2020; Vladimir Filakovac Gallery in Zagreb, Croatia, 2016; the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar, Croatia, 2010; the Mahmoud Mokhtar museum in Cairo, Egypt, 2007. She has represented the Republic of Croatia at the 10th International Cairo Biennial, 2006. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists. Branka Riđički currently lives and works in Zagreb.
She primarily works in painting but also includes video, photography and found objects in her large scale installations. Trained in history of art and Italian language and literature, her artworks are based on concepts ranging from the nature of space and time to history, literature and architecture. Her work is influenced by multicultural experiences, throughout her moves to New York, Cairo, Colombo and Delhi. She includes language and text in her artworks, utilized as a diaristic tool.
