"Dismantled and degraded atelier"

Munira Serdarević (1950, Zagreb) has been professionally engaged in artistic work since 1987 when she received an award for one of the souvenirs of the city of Zagreb as part of the Universiade. She regularly presented the unique items she makes at appropriate fairs on the occasion of Christmas and Easter, and she also organized numerous art workshops for children that were broadcast as part of an educational children’s TV program. She decorates interiors, and shop windows and is also the author of visual identities for several exhibitions, such as “Vino u Hrvata” organized in 1994 by Zrinjevac. 

In the same year, she became a member of ULUPUH’s Section for Product Design, where she is active today as a member of the Section’s Artistic Council. In 1995, she exhibited at the International Autumn Fair in Graz as part of the Croatian Pavilion. She won the Grand Prize of the 46th Zagreb Salon – Applied Art and Design: Manuscripts of the New Age in 2011, and in 2014, as part of the exhibition program of the 49th Zagreb Salon – Applied Art and Design as a realization of the first prize from the previous edition, she held an independent exhibition in the ULUPUH Gallery called Luxury from birth to death. She lives and works in Zagreb.
