Darko Bavoljak (Zagreb, 1961) completed his film studies at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb. Already during his studies, he published photos in Polet, Studenski list, Svijet, Start and many other newspapers and magazines of the time, as well as in monographs, catalogs, books and professional publications. His works are in private collections, as well as in the collections of MSU and MUO in Zagreb, MMSU in Rijeka, the Art Gallery in Split and the Museum of Fine Arts in Osijek. He has made several films, including Stupid Antonio presents (2006), Goli otok (2012), Urbi et orbi (2013) and MMC (2020). He is a member of HZSU and HDLU.
