Gallery Artsada is the first private contemporary art gallery in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, founded in 2023 under the curatorial leadership of Matea Bakotić. Bakotić, a master of the contemporary art market, holds a diploma from NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan. The gallery is dedicated to promoting and selling works by renowned artists such as Joško Eterović, Tomislav Ćurković, and Radovan Kunić, providing a platform for contemporary artistic expression on both local and international levels. The exhibition space of the gallery is designed according to the concept of a “white cube,” which emphasizes the purity and infinity of the artworks through a neutral backdrop. This design symbolizes the dynamics of change while opening up space for the interpretation of each piece. The gallery’s program features regularly changing solo and group exhibitions, occurring every three to four weeks, making it a vibrant venue for cultural events.
In addition to its exhibition program, Gallery Artsada offers art consulting and advisory services, providing collectors and art lovers with professional support for the selection, purchase, and presentation of artworks. The educational program, launched this year, enhances the understanding of contemporary art through lectures and discussions, enriching the local cultural scene. Through its activities, Gallery Artsada aims to create a space that represents the diverse techniques, motifs, and themes of contemporary art. In doing so, it encourages the development of the art market while supporting artists on their creative journeys.
