Jelena
Martinović

Jelena Martnović is a visual artist born in Varaždin, Croatia and graduated painting at the Academy of Fine arts, University of Zagreb. Her work is inspired by nature as she spends a lot of time in serene surroundings, especially in mountains. 

In 2007 she participated in the first Croatian female Himalayan climbing expedition to the Cho Oyu peak (8201 m), which contributed greatly to her artistic inspiration and aspiration.

In her work Jelena is focused on playfulness and exploration in her search for freedom and lightness. She frequently combines different artistic techniques and shifts between them while painting. 

She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, participated in numerous art symposiums and workshops, domestic and foreign.

She lives and works in Zagreb.
