Milo Sakač

Milo Sakač (Čakovec) is an architect by profession and this has been reflected in his seeking artistic expression and paintings. This coherent entirety has been generated from his seeking, proving his vital creativity and enviable production. His prior abstract art, where he has been present during the last years, has been characterized by the irregular but controlled lines creating strong architectural structures with a powerful feeling of composition and achieving rudimentary forms. He has gradually reduced the motifs that have been only discernible under the thick fine paint coats as he has insisted on the materiality physically incorporated in his paintings. The author graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, the University of Zagreb in 1988. He works as an architect and paints in parallel. Between 2017 and 2018, he opened a painting studio in Vienna. He is a member of the association of fine artists: the group Q202 (Leopoldstadt, Wien), Produzentengalerie Wien and Hungarian visual artist Worldwide. This year marks the 33rd anniversary of his first solo exhibition.
