Saskia Fischer (b. 1986 Stuttgart, Germany) is an interdisciplinary artist working with images, objects, texts, and environments. From November 2020, she begins a six-month residency at Cité International des Arts in Paris, France supported by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Saskia contributed to exhibitions at Tenderpixel in London, UK; Kunsthaus Bethanien and Kaskl Galerie in Berlin, Germany; Bon Art Book Fair, Tehran, Iran; FAC, Madrid, Spain; Santacroce, Altamura, Italy; Caffè Internazionale, Palermo, Italy; Kunsthaus Essen, Germany; EKA and Rundum in Tallinn, Estonia; and the Manifesta 10 parallel programme in Saint Petersburg, Russia.Also in 2015, she published Räige Päike, a monograph placing her photographic research in Estonia alongside collaborations from a local music group, a writer, two designers, and a typographer.Saskia studied postgraduate fine art at Goldsmiths College in London (2018), photography at Folkwang University in Essen (2015), sculpture/installation at EKA Tallinn (2014), and economics at HfWU Nürtingen (2009).
